heckenberger family vacation, day 1

well, we're really doing it. we, the heckenbergers, have left the snow of pennsylvania...

...packed our bags (chris is disgusted that meredith wants to steal his pink bag)...

...hopped on a plane

...and now we're really in florida. most times we go to the jersey shore. i like that place. it's the best beach i've ever been to. but i hear the gulf of mexico has a great lake!

by the time we got there it was late, so we just checked out the resort (right on the beach) and took some test snap shots just to make sure the camera worked south of the border...

this is the resort. it's right on the beach, it turns out.

but since the beach is dark this time of year, and there's stingrays, we stuck with the pool night 1.

check out this sailor dive! perfect hip bend and a posture mrs. buttersworth would die for!

to cap the night off we hit the hot tub. here chris gets ready to kiss one of the many attractive retired women down here and we're all impressed she said yes!

malvern prep football

i've been a so-called "journalist" for three years now, but this past saturday was my first experience to cover a high school football game. which is surprising in one regard, because football is one of my passions, but not surprising in the other regard that i have been coaching football at unionville high school the past 3 seasons as well. either way, it was fun being on this side of the equation, but taking pictures and taking notes of the game all at once was quite the challenge. here's a few from the sidelines...

the kaempfs

i spent a sunday morning with the kaempfs a few weeks back, as the three daughters, with a couple husbands and a quartet of grandchildren gathered around ridley creek state park. it was a nice gift for the matriarch of the family, pat, because all moms like pictures of their family, right?

amanda and alex

due to some unkind weather from mother nature i ended up missing a game at unionville to shoot this wedding between amanda and alex. i went to high school with amanda's sister, leyna, so that's how that hook-up happened, and even though i had to miss a game, the wedding and reception were great, as were the bride and groom.

moyer-huff engagement

well it has been way way too long since i last posted anything but now that football is over maybe i'll have a little more time and motivation for this so-called blog. here is a few of a couple friends, jeff moyer (i was once his college roommate) and lindsay huff (i once went to the junior prom with her) who are getting married in the summer of 09. they want me to be their photographer annnnnd emcee, so who knows how that will work or go but for now, a few engagement pictures.
